Description
The A Ma Mainére x Air Jordan 1 High OG is the preschool version of the collaboration between the upscale fashion boutique and Jordan Brand on Michael Jordan’s retro basketball shoe that was released in December 2021. Like A Ma Mainére’s Women’s Air Jordan 3 “Raised by Women” collaboration, one of the top sneaker releases of 2021, the boutique’s take on Jordan’s first signature shoe is awash with luxury-inspired details, including a cracked white leather upper paired with a burgundy quilted interior lining. A burgundy snakeskin-covered Swoosh appears on either side of the shoe and a “Wings” logo is found on the collar. Dual “Nike Air” and “A Ma Mainére” detailing appears on the top of the cracked leather tongue with burgundy laces. Subtle design modifications by A Ma Mainére to the Air Jordan 1 include the phrase “You have to expect things for yourself before you can do them” on the inside of the flaps, and “Airness by A Ma Mainére for Air Jordan” branding on the insole. A cream rubber midsole and burgundy outsole complete the look. Release date: December 3, 2021
